Linger Awhile to the smooth sounds of Samara Joy
Singer/guitarist Bonnie Raitt did not begin to win the comparable commercial success due her until the release of the aptly titled 1989 blockbuster Nick of Time. Her tenth album, it rocketed her into the mainstream consciousness nearly two decades after she first committed her unique blend of blues, rock, and R&B to vinyl. More than just a best-selling artist, respected guitarist, expressive singer, and accomplished songwriter, Bonnie Raitt has become an institution in pop rock music with 16 albums and nine Grammy Awards.
Founder member of Creedence Clearwater Revival, John Fogerty's unmistakable growl was a staple of American radio during the 60s, on tracks like Bad Moon Rising, Proud Mary and the anti-Vietnam war anthem Fortunate Son. Selling millions of records worldwide, the group disbanded in 1970, at which point Fogerty pursued a highly successful solo career, penning hits including Old Man Down the River and Rockin' All Over the World (later made famous by Status Quo).
Jazz crooner Samara Joy is heading out on tour across the States. Making waves in the jazz scene, Samara Joy started making music professionally in 2019 and subsequently won two Grammy awards, one for Best Jazz Vocal Artist, and the other for Best New Artist. The singer has found huge success on TikTok, and appeared on the Today Show. Don't miss out on this new jazz legend on her way to the stars!
